A Storm called the bosses girlfriend...

Here I am, at the office on a Monday, with no motivation whatsoever to do anything - at all.  Rewind about a week ago and I loved my job, people were jealous of my job, I wanted to go to work every single day.  Didn't even mind when I had to come in on Saturdays.  I always put that extra effort forth to make sure things were done correctly.  Well, in comes the bosses girlfriend.  I work in a very small office, there are four of us here - running a company of about 50 employees.  Everything in this office was running smooth, no glitches - we all got along.  Well... now we have someone who has power over us all and wants to do things 'her way'.  I guess such is life, a good thing can only last so long.  Well, this good thing lasted about three years.  With 'her' here, my motivation level has absolutely plummeted... which really does suck.    She has caused quite a few disturbances since she's been here.  Trying to micromanage every aspect of what we do - I work in a small office to avoid such things.   Here's the kicker though, now she is messing with our paychecks for reasons that just don't make sense.  She comes from the corporate world, lots of people in the office and she is trying to utilize what she knew there to run a very very small office of people.  Long ago I had accepted the fact that we could not work overtime here - first job I've ever had that this has occurred, but the job itself was just so satisfying that I let it slide.  Well now, this woman has decided that if I/we miss any time at work that we are not allowed to make it up.  I have never been short a paycheck in three years.  I always put the extra effort forth to make up my hours.  Whether that meant staying late or coming in on a Saturday.  A single mom needs her paycheck, it's just a fact of life, well - now apparently I can't even get that.  Missing a day of work being a single mom is inevitable.  Although I know stressing about this situation won't fix it, I really can't help it.  My only hope is that this woman will leave sooner than later.  Yet, this isn't just a situation where she needs to quit - this is the bosses girlfriend, so a split between them would have to happen too.  Well, this woman knows she has it made, a guy with unlimited funds, a huge house, free cars, vacations, you name it.  Believe me, this woman has a day that she has to stay home sick her check will not be affected.  I realize now a days I'm lucky even to have a job, but going from a very stable paycheck to a now unstable one should something arise where I need to take off work is not a good feeling.  So, I sit here at my desk, at a place I used to love, debating whether I should just quit or hang in until this storm called the bosses girlfriend passes. Ugh.
